Foundation Presents the 32nd Annual

Hot Dog Caper!

Cal Poly Pomona Foundation (CPPF) and campus partners will welcome the

university community back to campus with the 32nd Annual Hot Dog Caper

on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Cal Poly Pomona students, faculty, and staff

gather together every fall quarter in the University Park to enjoy free hot

dogs, chips, popsicles, drinks, live music, and entertainment.

The 32nd Annual Hot Dog Caper will have a 1960s theme in honor of CPPF’s

50th anniversary, which was officially established in early 1966. This year’s

logo features two personified hot dogs with a 1960s classic car to pay homage

to the decade.

This year’s event will feature live music from 1960s cover band Aquarius, photo booths, airbrush tattoo artists,

an inflatable obstacle course, prizes, games hosted by ASI, and more surprises! Innovation Brew Works, Hoffy Hot

Dogs, AT&T, Motorola, Costco, and Matt’s Run will also have booths during the event.

Every year, a team of over 300 volunteers, including administrators, staff, and athletes, sport their Hot Dog Caper

t-shirts and distribute thousands of hot dogs, veggie dogs, chips, drinks, and popsicles. Last year, 16,750 hot dogs/

veggie dogs, 7,865 bags of chips, 9,528 Pepsi drinks, and 12,996 popsicles were served.

The Hot Dog Caper is made possible through the

partnership of CPPF, Pepsi Beverages Company,

Associated Students, Inc., Facilities Planning &

Management, Hoffy Hot Dogs, First Class Vending,

Intercollegiate Athletics, AT&T, Motorola, and

The Hot Dog Caper is just one of the many ways

CPPF gives back to the campus. Over the past

50 years, CPPF has given millions of dollars to

the university to fund many campus student

programs, scholarships, and infrastructure.
