Dining Services Prepares Thousands of 

Meals this Summer!

Dining Services worked very hard this summer to 

provide meals for all incoming students and their 

families who attended the orientation programs. 

Every Wednesday throughout summer, Catering 

Manager of Los Olivos Eric Duvall and Operations 

Manager Cody Medina set up in front on Campus 

Center Marketplace to grill hot dogs, hamburgers, 

and veggie patties for freshmen orientation. The 

team stayed busy during Wednesday afternoons 

as the incoming students came in three waves of 

130 to 160 each. 

“Believe me, it is a group effort. We could not 

have done it without Johnny Recinos (Vista 

Market manager) and all the student employees 

that were involved,” says Cody.

Kellogg West and the Bronco Student Center also 

worked very hard and served thousands of incoming students and their families. 

From late June to mid August, Dining Services served over 30,000 people:

• Kellogg West served

• The orientation barbeques served 

2,836

 meals

A total of 31,254 meals were served for orientation this summer!
